PRODUCT INFORMATION The Xonar 942 security shutter, manufactured by CGT Security, is independently certified to security level LPS 1175 Issue 7 SR2 and has Secured By Design police preferred specification. With it’s sleek appearance and ease of installation, this proved to be the perfect solution.
The Xonar 942 also features a unique self-locking technology that requires no external, internal or auxiliary locks. This allows the shutter to operate in a standard way, but the profiles interlock when any upward force is applied, which locks the shutter in any stop position. This ensures it cannot be forced open, even when partly closed, hence protecting staff in the building when closing up for the day.
Door and roller shutter specialists, HAG Ltd were contracted to install 3 Xonar shutters required for the building.
PROJECT DETAIL Thorney Bay Pavilion, positioned right on the beach, was designed by Ingleton Wood consultancy who led the £1.5m project along with Castle Point Borough Council.
Project leaders decided the most effective security solution would be bespoke security shutters that would give secure protection without compromising the modern architectural aesthetics of the development.
Due to open this month, the pavilion will be ready to serve the local community and visiting tourists, while making sure it is kept secure at night allowing everyone to enjoy the facilities.
HAG’s ongoing partnership with CGT Security has given them the necessary experience and ability to install Xonar security shutters to a high standard.
