The product was a Xonar 943 with an upgraded anti-cut core to stop powered cutting equipment from penetrating the shutter. The Xonar only needs a small space for rolling the shutter curtain and was fitted with unique self-locking technology.
For shutters with a self-locking mechanism, manual force or levering, even with the assistance of tools such as car jacks, will have little or no effect.
The Borough Council decided they needed a much more secure solution and approached local business, CGT Security, who invited the Council’s Security Manager to explain the LPS 1175 security ratings.
CGT Security then worked with the Council’s preferred contractor to develop a product specification that suited their operational and budgetary requirements and provided the optimum level of security.
